CATCHING UP WITH GERRY

LATEST BOOK
JANUARY, 2008. I have been more than lax of late. Of late, meaning more than a year or so.
In that time, I was in the process of writing and helping to publish my latest book by Ann Arbor Media Group. It is "Shipwreck Hunter: Deep, Dark and Deadly in the Great Lakes."
As the saying goes, you can find it in fine bookstores everywhere. OK, mostly in the Great Lakes region. But you can also order it from Amazon or many of the other books sites. If you want an autographed copy, zip on over to Pen & Compass.
IN THE WORKS
I am plugging ahead with research for a third book. This will be a new venture for me. A novel. It will be an historical fiction set in the Civil War with spies, pirates, prison breaks and a pretty darned good love story. Research is taking me around the Great Lakes to Detroit, Windsor, Sandusky and Toronto; to the Chesapeake Bay region and, this March, to Glasgow, Scotland.
If all goes well, I should be able to begin writing this summer. Yes, the summer of 2008.
No title yet.
I usually wait until the book is finished.
PHOTOS
Here again, I have been negligent. New photos indeed are coming. Please drop by again in the coming months to check them.
If you are in the Ann Arbor area and would like to see some of the photos up close and personal, several are on display at Top of the Lamp. This store is on Maple Road, just across the Kroger Store at Westgate Shopping Mall.
ENVIRONMENT You will note that I have gotten back into gear, at least a little bit, on updating environmental news.
The story about the dying loons I found to be heart breaking.
ISLAND UPDATES This will take some time, but I will try. Bit by bit, if things go well, you can find some of the latest doings on the islands mentioned in my first book "Islands: Great Lakes Stories."
